Description

Auto Emergency Alert abstract of Disclosure The "CrashAlert" is an electronic system that provides other drivers and motorists with warning about an accident giving them enough time to stop or at least reduce speed. The warning is giving by a set of amber lights located in the back of the car. The system is composed of a sensor, power source and a set of high luminosity amber lights.
The sensor(sj will be located at the front of the car and will work the same as the sensor that activates the air bags. Any type of vehicle can use this system commercial or private, big or small. The lights will be automatically activated at the time of a head-on crash, even if the driver is unconscious the other drivers will see the flashing lights in the back of the vehicle and react to them with enough time to avoid pile-ups. All the material used for this system comply with Canadian Safety Standard as they are all marketed items.

Claims (6)

1. The CrashAlert system is composed of a power source, a sensor and a set of amber, orange or yellow lights. As depicted in Diagram #1 which shows all the components for a basic model (which is not drawn to any scale and it assumes that the power source is contained within the lights themselves i.e. alkaline batteries)
2. The power source can be any type of power source even the car's battery although it is highly recommended that an additional power source is used as the battery can be destroy in an accident. The power source to be used is completely dependent upon the lights requirement in voltage.
3. The sensor is located in the front of the car and the most up to date can be used so that the system keeps up with technology.
4. The lights can fasten to the vehicle by the use of screws, glue, magnets, suction caps or security belts. The lights can be located inside the car at the rear window or incorporated to the outside of the car in a safety manner.
5. The lights can also be the cars stop lights or turning lights although it is recommended that a much brighter light is used so that it can be seen at a greater distance.
6. Lights can be LED lights, conventional bulb light or halogen lights.
