Abstract

Ce dispositif de compression de données vidéo comprend un compresseur de données vidéo et une mémoire tampon. Le compresseur comprime un train d'entrée de trames de données vidéo, à un débit de compression permettant d'obtenir à partir du compresseur des données vidéo comprimées à débit de sortie moyen. La mémoire tampon reçoit les données vidéo comprimées à partir du compresseur, afin de fournir un train de données vidéo comprimées. Ce train est émis à partir de la mémoire tampon, sur un canal d'émission, à un débit de canal supérieur au débit de sortie moyen du compresseur, de façon que le canal d'émission ne soit pas utilisé pleinement. La réduction de l'utilisation du canal permet d'obtenir une réduction correspondante de la temporisation de la mémoire tampon.
