Abstract

The invention provides a polymeric carrier for delivery of a bioactive molecule, comprising a stereocomplex of at least one biocompatible stereoselective polymer and a bioactive molecule, wherein said bioactive molecule is complexed with at least one complementary biocompatible stereoselective polymer, or said bioactive molecule is entrapped within a stereocomplex composed of at least two complementary stereoselective biocompatible copolymers, each of said copolymers having a stereoselective segment linked to non-polyhydroxy acid segments.
