Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un système d'antenne actif qui possède plusieurs éléments d'antenne disposés en colonne, chacun de ces éléments ou chaque sous-ensemble d'éléments étant intégré à un amplificateur et à d'autres composants formant faisceau. Un amplificateur et un filtre séparés sont disposés à proximité immédiate et connectés à chacun des éléments d'antenne ou à un sous-ensemble d'éléments d'antenne et un combineur/diviseur séparé est connecté à chacun des amplificateurs. Les éléments d'antenne, l'amplificateur et le filtre sont disposés sur un support commun. Une station de base est connectée par les câbles d'alimentation, à distance de chacun des amplificateurs. Un premier groupe de ces éléments d'antenne ayant des amplificateurs basse puissance forme un système d'antenne émetteur et/ou un second groupe de ces éléments d'antenne actifs ayant des amplificateurs à faible bruit forme un système d'antenne récepteur. Un atténuateur variable et un circuit de déphasage variable peuvent être intégrés à chaque amplificateur et peuvent être utilisés pour la mise en forme du faisceau et le pointage électronique du faisceau. Pour la combinaison de diversité, on utilise des antennes actives séparées dans l'espace ou à diversité de polarisation. Pour une réalisation avec des antennes actives en diversité de polarisation, on utilise une colonne partagée ou deux colonnes à polarisation orthogonale adjacentes.
