Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer le soufre total réactif présent dans du pétrole brut ou dans une fraction de ce dernier, au moyen d'un spectromètre de masse (fig. 9) ou d'un chromatographe et d'un spectromètre de masse. La sélection d'ions fragments (1-4) caractéristiques de l'espèce sulfureuse réactive permet d'effectuer une détermination quantitative de l'espèce sulfureuse totale réactive (fig. 5). L'utilisation d'un spectromètre de masse à faible résolution permet de déterminer rapidement le soufre total réactif in situ ou à distance, lorsque des instruments de haute technicité ne sont pas disponibles.
