Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication d'un instrument médical comprenant les étapes suivantes: (1) traiter un hydrogel à réticulation ionique afin d'ôter une quantité suffisante de réticulations ioniques tout en maintenant l'hydrogel dans la forme souhaitée; et (2) procéder à une nouvelle réticulation ionique de l'hydrogène traité à l'étape (1) tout en maintenant l'hydrogel dans la forme souhaitée. Dans une forme de réalisation type, la fabrication d'un drain tuteur urétéral s'effectue par montage de tubes extrudés en alginate de baryum ou de calcium sur une structure de mise en forme, puis par façonnage supplémentaire permettant la formation des extrémités enroulées. Ledit façonnage se fait par trempage des tubes montés dans un bain de chlorure de potassium mélangé, puis par trempage de ces tubes dans un bain de chlorure de calcium. Les extrémités reprennent facilement leurs formes enroulées après déformation élastique, le façonnage supplémentaire permettant au drain tuteur d'acquérir une forme permanente.
