Abstract

L'invention est un système de communication sans fil cellulaire qui permet d'établir des communications entre des stations de base 6 et des terminaux mobiles ou fixes. Une installation fixe est dotée d'une antenne directive fixe 4 orientée vers une station de base prédéterminée 6. Une interface 10 est utilisée pour connecter le terminal mobile 16 à l'antenne 4. Quand l'interface est connectée au terminal mobile, les informations transmises sur la voie de signalisation de la liaison ascendante contiennent l'indication que l'antenne fixe est utilisée. Ceci permet à un abonné d'utiliser un poste téléphonique mobile pour les communications fixes et les communications mobiles et, par conséquent, de n'avoir qu'un seul compte, et permet au fournisseur de services téléphoniques de réduire les frais du service de communication fixe à un niveau qui peut concurrencer celui du service offert par ligne terrestre.
