Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de lecture et d'écriture conçu pour des supports optiques d'enregistrement. Le support optique est lu ou enregistré à l'aide d'une tête optique mobile (14). Pendant une opération de recherche, on utilise un compteur de pistes afin de déterminer la position de la tête optique. Un deuxième indicateur de position (18, 20, 21) est fixé à la tête optique afin de limiter la vitesse transversale de ladite tête optique en cas de non disponibilité de l'information de position du compteur de pistes.
