Abstract

Ce système numérique de commutation de télécommunications présente un commutateur principal à débit normal possédant plusieurs accès bidirectionnels pour commuter sélectivement des tranches de temps associées aux voies de transmission à débit normal, multiplexées sur des liaisons numériques entrantes et sortantes. Chaque tranche de temps de la trame comporte un nombre de binaires prédéterminé. Le commutateur à débit normal commute, selon un débit normal, les tranches de temps reçues à partir de l'un quelconque des accès du commutateur, vers l'un quelconque des autres accès du commutateur. Un commutateur supplémentaire à débit inférieur est connecté de façon modulaire au commutateur à débit normal, et il commute sélectivement un ou plusieurs binaires correspondant à une ou plusieurs voies à débit inférieur, dans une tranche de temps, à un débit de transmission de données inférieur au débit normal.
