Abstract
An audibility spectrogram provides a graphical tool that shows the audibility of any acoustic signal with respect to the hearing profile of an individual. Spectral and temporal features of an acoustic signal, measured in the ear of an individual, are analysed in spectral regions determined to be critical for the audibility of the acoustic signal.
The measured spectrogram is compared to the threshold and supra-threshold audiogram measurements previously obtained and spectral differences between a measured acoustic signal and audiogram data are sorted and displayed on a single plot to indicate degrees of audibility across audiometric frequencies.
