Abstract

A device for actuating and deactuating a series of lights affixed to a bicycle helmet without any interface to the bicycle. The device illuminates and extinguishes the light by utilisation of a switch means attached to the device and/or helmet. The device includes: at least four light bulbs spaced proportionately and attached to polarised electrical wire, which is encased in clear flexible transparent waterproof material ~ a battery disposed in an on the helmet for energising the light bulbs and a switch means connected between the light bulbs and a battery for controlling the energising of the light bulbs.

Claims (8)

1) A safety light for a bicycle helmet comprising at least four light bulbs for the provision of a helmet safety accessory and enhancing night vision of the operator. A voltage source connected to the light bulbs for actuating and deactuating the lights upon depression of a switch means connected between the lights and voltage source.
2) A safety lighting device for a bicycle helmet according to claim 1, wherein there are at least four said light bulbs joined proportionately along a clear polarized electrical wire and encased inside a clear flexible transparent material.
3) A safety lighting device for a bicycle helmet according to claim 2, wherein said lighting device is adapted to be positioned on a cyclist's helmet with a battery and electrical switch means for controlling the actuation of and deactuation of the light bulbs.
4) A safety light device for a bicycle helmet according to claim 3, wherein said light apparatus, adapted to said bicycle helmet enhance the operators night vision for at least two hours.
5) A safety light device that enhances the operators night vision 360' around the driver.
6) A safety light that enhances the wearers night vision 360' around the person as in a continuous all directions at the same time as in a halo when in a stationary position or moving.
7) A lighting accessory that can be installed on any helmet or application to the wearers that will enhance the night vision on the wearer.
8) Any person experienced in the art of helmet making will be able to make variations based on this teaching.
