Radeau de sauvetage de grande capacité (1, 10) comportant un bord périphérique gonflable (2) formant boudin de flottabilité et un fond central (3) solidarisé à celui-ci, caractérisé en ce que ledit fond central (3) comprend au moins une zone (4) formant plate-forme d'accueil des personnes embarquant et au moins une zone (5) de regroupement des personnes embarquées, ladite zone de regroupement (5) occupant une surface dudit fond relativement sensiblement plus importante que celle occupée par ladite zone de plateforme d'accueil (4).
