Abstract

The invention concerns a display unit for data dependent on a vehicle's energy consumption. DE-PS-3 046 076 discloses a fuel-display device in which the instantaneous tank limit is displayed and the driver can see at a glance whether the fuel consumption falls within a predetermined range. The object of the invention is to provide a display unit for data dependent on a vehicle's energy consumption which clearly displays the most important data dependent on energy consumption and the contents of the energy store. This object is achieved in that the display device displays a tank limit range in dependence on the instantaneous amount of energy available in the storage system and on a vehicle-specific consumption spectrum, the tank limit range resulting from the minimum and maximum average consumption of the engine.
