Abstract
To provide handrails for moving walkways in which the effect of prevention of charging due to friction with the guide rail is great and the running smoothness is good.
In the handrail for moving walkways of this invention, surface canvas 5, which is woven by positioning conductive yarn or a string-shaped body as the warp or weft at specified spacing, and multiple sheets of polyester canvas 6 are laminated sandwiching strength maintenance members 7.
Then core 4 is formed by press-fitting these as one using adhesive rubber and, at the same time, moulding them into a C-shaped cross-section. Cosmetic rubber layer 11 is provided incorporated over this. As the conductive yarn or string-shaped body, conductive yarn 10, in which carbon fibre 9 is wound spirally round the outer periphery of polyester yarn 8, or conducting string 12, which is conductive polyamido resin, into which carbon powder is blended, moulded into string shape, are used.

Claims (7)
1. In a handrail for moving walkways with built-in strength maintenance members in the longitudinal direction and provided with a cosmetic rubber layer on a core formed by multiple sheets of canvas which are laminated and moulded so that its cross-section roughly forms a letter C, said handrail for moving walkways which has the characteristic of at least the innermost sheet of canvas out of the said sheets of canvas having conductive yarn as a weaving yarn.
2. A handrail for moving walkways according to claim 1 in which the said conductive yarn of the canvas positioned in at least the innermost layer is provided at a specified spacing as warps which extend in the longitudinal direction.
3. A handrail for moving walkways according to claim 1 or 2 in which the said conductive yarn is a yarn of conductive fibre or a synthetic fibre yarn around the periphery of which a conductive fibre is spirally wound.
4. A handrail for moving walkways according to claim 1 or 2 in which the canvas into which the conductive yarn is woven is laminated on the other canvas via a conductive rubber layer.
5. In a handrail for moving walkways with built-in strength maintenance members in the longitudinal direction and provided with a cosmetic rubber layer on a core formed by multiple sheets of canvas which are laminated and moulded so that its cross-section roughly forms a letter C, said handrail for moving walkways which has the characteristic of at last the innermost sheet of canvas out of the said sheets of canvas having conductive string-shaped body woven into it.
6. A handrail for moving walkways according to claim into which the conductive string-shaped body of the canvas positioned in at least the innermost layer is woven with a specified spacing in the longitudinal direction or the transverse direction.
7. A handrail for moving walkways according to claim 5 or 6 in which the canvas into which the conductive string-shaped body is woven is laminated on the other canvas via a conductive rubber layer.
