Abstract

A "Deflective Barrier" which is used with any out door goalnet, for the purpose of stopping and/or returning "Stray Balls" which are shot wide or high of a goalnet. This "Deflective Barrier" extends parallel and outwards of the two vertical goal posts and/or Parallel upwards of the top posts and or parallel and upwards of the top horizontal cross bar of the goalnet, Thus if a ball missed going in the goalnet, it would be stopped and/or bounce back towards the "shooter" or "play area", or even deflect into the goalnet.

Claims (14)

  1. =CLAIMS=

    The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

    (1) A "Deflective Barrier" of various sizes and/or shapes, too be used with any size and/or shape outdoor goalnet, such as for Road Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse, Ice Hockey, ETC..., and this "Barrier" is used for the purpose of stopping and/or returning, "stray balls,"
    back towards the shooter or play area, or even deflecting stray balls into the goalnet.
  2. (2) The "Deflector" of claim #1 comprises of one or more "Deflector Panels"
    which creates the "Deflective Barrier".
  3. (3) The "Deflector" of claim #1 extends outwards of the goalposts and/or upwards of the top crossbar of the goalnet, in a variety of dimensions.
  4. (4) The "Deflector" of claim # 1 can be attached and parallel to the goalposts and crossbar of the goalnet, by means of various fastening method's such as, Plastic Ties, Velcro, Rope, String, Clamps, Glue, Screws, ETC...
  5. (5) The "Deflector" of claim #1 can be freestanding and placed behind the goal, so the ball goes around behind the goalnet.
  6. 6) A "Deflective Barrier" of various sizes and/or shapes, too be used with any size and/or shape outdoor goalnet, and this "Barrier" is used for the purpose of stopping and/or returning, "stray balls," back towards the shooter, or play area, or even deflecting stray balls into the goalnet.
  7. (7) The "Deflector" of claim #6 or any of it's accompanying components will be manufactured of one or more of these various materials, such as various Plastics, Canvas's, Wood's , Rubber's, Vinyl's, Fiberglass, Rope, Mesh, Metal, ETC..
  8. depending whether this barrier is used with a Tennis Ball, Hockey Puck, Lacrosse Ball, Soccer Ball, ETC...
  9. (8) The "Deflector" of claim # 6 can be hand made from various "Sheet Goods", or machine process manufactured, vacuum formed, injection molded, blow molded, or made from any other forming/molding process.
  10. (9) The "Deflector" of claim # 6 can be flat/curved or a combination of both.
  11. (10) The "Deflector" of claim #6 can be of various thickness's.
  12. (11) The "Deflector" of claim # 6 can be light to heavyweight (12) The "Deflector" of claim #6 will be weather resistant, and/or weatherproof.
  13. (13) The "Deflector" of claim#6 can be permanently attached to the goalnet or easily removed.
  14. 14) A "Deflective Barrier" of various sizes and/or shapes, too be used with any size and/or shape outdoor goalnet, and this "Barrier" is used for the purpose of stopping and/or returning, stray balls, back towards the shooter or play area, or even deflecting stray balls into the goalnet.

    (15) A "Deflective Barrier" of claim # 14 from a "Bird's Eye View" can be parallel with the goalnet opening or the top cross bar of the goalnet.

    (16) The "Deflector" of claim # 14 from "Bird's Eye View" can be angled/curved forward, towards the play area.

    (17) The "Deflector" of claim # 14 can swing or hindge forward and inward towards the inside or backwards and outside of the goalnet for easy, convenient storage.

    (18) The "Deflector" of claims # 14 can swing or hindge forward and inward towards the center portion or portions of a "freestanding Deflector" for easy, convenient storage.
