Abstract

Cet élargisseur à deux étages, utile dans un puits de forage souterrain, comprend un corps (2) d'un seul tenant pourvu de lames supérieures (5A, 5B) et inférieures (6A, 6B) montées dans des fentes (3, 4) pratiquées perpendiculairement les unes aux autres dans le corps. Des ensembles pistons supérieur et inférieur sont montés afin d'entraîner respectivement les lames (5A, 5B) et (6A, 6B) d'une configuration de repos dans laquelle ces lames sont logées pratiquement complètement dans les fentes (3, 4), à une position d'utilisation telle qu'illustrée sur la figure. De préférence, chaque lame comprend un bras de lame en acier sur lequel on a monté une base de matrice en tungstène, nickel, cobalt, dans laquelle on a encastré des diamants et/ou des éléments en carbure de tungstène. Une indication est donnée à la surface que les lames se trouvent dans la position déployée en chargeant la boue.
