Abstract

Une suspension rétractable (10) comprend un bras longitudinal (22) monté pivotant au châssis (12) d'un véhicule, un ressort à air comprimé (30) monté entre le bras longitudinal et le châssis, et un dispositif de levage (32) monté également entre le bras longitudinal et le châssis. Le dispositif de levage (32) comprend une jambe élastique (60) montée pivotante entre le châssis (12) et un bras levier (64) qui est monté inamovible sur le bras longitudinal (22). La jambe élastique (60) exerce une force sur le bras levier (64) qui communique un couple au bras longitudinal (22) afin de pousser celui-ci et les roues rattachées (14) vers une position rétractée. La force du ressort à air comprimé (30) peut être réglée afin de stopper le mouvement ascendant des roues (14).
