Abstract

An outer shell (104) attached to a top stop (102) and a bottom stop (124) confining rubber boots (120, 122) surrounding an electrical connection to confine the rubber boots from expansion. A stand off (112) form a fluid seal around a conductor between a rigid tube (15) penetrating a wellhead and a connector means (114). Conductors providing multi-phase current penetrating. the wellhead are enclosed in rigid tubes (15) comprising non-ferromagnetic and electrically conductive material. A ferrule-type fitting (140) on the wellhead allows the fittings to be removed without destroying the rigid tubes. A
protective metal sheath (154) axially affixed to the production tubing protects the insulation of the cables and transitions a single three-wire cable (155) to three single wire conduits (24). A breather boot (2063 protects an electrical connection from moisture in a hazardous area, where the breather boot has a breather passage (205) filled with silicon compound.
