Un stabilisateur de positionnement (26), pour outils à élaguer ou tailler les arbres. Une mince lame (26), est solidement fixée, le plus près possible d'une scie (18), excédant la scie de quelques pouces à
l'avant de l'outil. Dans un premier temps, la partie du stabilisateur (26), excédant la scie (18), sert à la positionner où la coupe est désirée.
Dans un deuxième temps, la coupe est obtenue en poussant l'outil vers l'avant, à ce moment, la partie du stabilisateur (26), entre l'arbre et la scie (18), empêche la scie de toucher l'arbre. Selon le mode de réalisation de l'invention, le stabilisateur de positionnement (26), peut permettre de couper d'un seul côté de la scie (outils, fig. 1 et 2), ou de couper des deux côtés de la scie (outils fig. 3, 4, 5 et 6).
