Abstract
The invention relates to a method for simulating, in a network, a "server" architecture from a "client" architecture of a first machine (PS) for executing RPC remote procedure calls issued by at least one "client" architecture machine (CL). According to this process the first machine (PS) first issues an RPC call to a third "server" architecture machine (RE) used as a machine relay between the first (PS) and the second (CL) machines, this RPC call opening a context of communication for the continuation of the exchanges then that the first machine (PS) hangs while waiting for a return of the RPC call. When the second machine (CL) makes an RPC call representative of a determined function to be executed by the first machine (PS), this call is transmitted to the relay machine (RE) which after recognition of the function retransmits it to the first machine (PS) by returning the blocked RPC call. The first machine (PS) asks then the input parameters of the function to execute known to the relay machine (RE) then executes the function upon receipt in providing the output to the second machine as an output parameter (CL) via the relay machine (RE).
