Abstract
This new invention includes convex pressing of natural flora and leaves on the surface of leather;
putting colour into resulting leather and using the coloured leather to manufacture final consumer leather products such as handbags and ladybags.
The materials used in the whole process are briefly described in the following:
(i) Natural Flora & Leaves: Natural leaves and flora are taken from selected plants.
(ii) Leather: chrome or vegetable tanned leathers are used. The leathers used can be cattlehide, sheepskin or pigskin.
(iii) Water-base colouring agent: A colouring agent which is used in the dyeing of the convex pressed leather.
(iv) Mould releasing agent a water-base wax that is used to hold the position of the flattened natural flora and leaves on a piece of cardboard.
(v) Mould hardening agent: the chemical used in the making of the male and female mould is called epoxy resin.
(vi) Hydraulic Pressing Machine: supported on the ground by two steel poles on each side of the machine, this machine consists of a lower and an upper metal boards which are used to hold the mould and to convex press the leather. The two metal boards are positioned in the center of the machine by fastening them into two steel bars which are fixed onto the steel poles on each side of the machine.
