L'invention concerne un couvercle perfectionn~ de barquette en matière plastique.

Il est bien connu de réaliser des barquettes en matière plastique fermées par un couvercle et destinées contenir des produits alimentaires tres variés, tel que par exemple du beurre. A ce ~our, le plus gén~ralement, 10 le couvercle est constitué d'un plateau central et d'un rebord périphérique en forme de U définissant deux bran-ches, respectivement externe et interne raccordées par une portion, la branche interne ~tant raccordée à son tour au plateau. Le rebord périphérique du couvercle est 15 destiné à être emboité sur le rebord correspondant de la barquette. Bien que tres largement répandue, cette solu-tion présente encore l'inconvénient qu'il est parfois difficile d'enlever le couvercle une fois mis en place sur la barquette. Cette opération est plus difficile 20 lorsque la barquette est conservée au froid tel que par exemple dans un réfrigérateur.

L'invention pallie ces inconvénients. Elle vise un couvercle du type en question qui soit facile à réaliser, 25 ne nécessite pas de modifier les matériels de moulage, permette de recevoir éventuellement des étiquette~, mais ne présente pas les difficultés d'ouverture évoquée~ ci-dessus . - 2 ~ 4 ~ ~

On a donc ainsi un accès commode au contenu de la barquette (2). Lorsque l'utilisateur a fini de puiser les aliments dont il avait besoin, il rabat le plateau (10) autour de la charnière (31,32) et emboite ainsi la lèvre interne (13) sur le rebord (3) de la barquette qui se 20 trouve alors fermée. L'opération peut atre répétée plu-sieurs fois san~ difficulté.

Cette disposition facilite ainsi l'accbs au contenu de la barquette (2).
En outre, les points sécables (25) constituent une caractéristique d'inviolabilit~ ~ugée parfois utile.
Dans la forme d'exécution perfectionnée montrée à la figure S, pour faciliter l'ouverture du couvercle (1), on dispose à proximité des points sécables (25) une languette verticale (50,51) qui servirait d'appui de poussée, facilitant la rupture des attaches (25).

Le couvercle de barquette conforme à 1'invention présente de nombreux avantages par rapport aux solutions connues ~ ce jour. On peut citer :
- la facilité d~ouverture du couvercle ;
- la simplicité de réalisation tant en ce qui con-cerne l'opération de moulage que la conception des outil-lages, ce qui se traduit par un prix de revient économi-que ;
- la facilit~ de mise en place du couvercle lors du 10 conditionnement sans faire appel à des précautions sp~-ciales ou un équipement spécial, ce qui se traduit égale-ment par une économie appréciable ;
~ - le fait que le couvercle re~te en position ouverte verticale grâce à la présence des crans situés ~ côté des 15 charnières, et ce sans entraîner de gêne pour l'utilisa-teur ;
- comme le couvercle reste attach~ à la barquette, il n'est pas sali ni perdu en cours de manipulation ;
- une fermeture aisée et rapide aprbs chaque utili-20 sation ;
- une conception qui fait qu'apres chaque ouverture et fermeture, on assure a l'ensemble une bonne etanchéi-té, ce qui évite de faire appel a des suremballages, d'ou gain de place et économie et meilleure hygiène.
Bien que l'invention ait été décrite dans ~on ap-plication aux barquettes alimentaires, son utilisation n'est pas limit~e a ce mode d'exécution préféré.

Claims

1. Plastic tray lid, consisting of a central plate and a U-shaped peripheral rim, defining two branches, respectively external and internal connected by a portion, and whose internal branch is in turn connected to the plate, said peripheral rim being intended to be fitted onto the corresponding flange of the tray, characterized:

- in that the connecting portion of the two branches of the U has a slit, which extends over an essential part of the entire periphery of the ledge, thus defining two lips arranged opposite:
- and in that this slot presents:

. right through, breakable portions, connecting the two lips;

. on one side of the cover, an integral gripping lug of the lip connected to the internal branch, therefore to the tray;

. on the side opposite to that with this lug, two portions connecting the two lips of the slit to form thus hinge.

2. Lid according to claim 1, characterized in that the lip secured to the external branch has a clearance arranged in front of the gripping lug to facilitate access.
