Abstract

A feed additive granule for ruminants comprising a granulated physiologically active substance as the core, a first coating layer placed on the surface of said core, said first coating layer containing a high molecular-substance which dissolves or swells in water in an acidic pH region of not greater than 5.5 and is stable in a pH
region of 5.6 to 8.0, and a second coating layer placed on said first coating layer, said second coating layer being of a substance which is stable in an acidic pH
region of not greater than 5.5, dissolves or swells in water in a pH region of 5.6 to 8.0 and is acceptable to ruminants, and some modifications thereof, as well as feed for ruminants comprising such a novel feed additive.
