Abstract

ABSTRACT
TEXTILE-CARRYING BAG MADE OF SYNTHETIC THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL
AND PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING SUCH BAG
This invention relates to a carrying bag, par-ticularly for carrying textile material, which bag is made of synthetic thermoplastic material and comprises side walls having top edge portions bonded to handles, wherein said top edge portion of one of said side walls is optionally adjoined by a closing flap, which has a slit for receiving the handle provided on the opposite side wall. In order to provide a textile-carrying bag which is of that kind and which has a sufficient stability and strength even when the hand s are made of the same material as the body of the bag, the edge por-tion of one side wall is constituted by an infolded edge por-tion, which defines a fold line, and another edge portion, which adjoins said infolded edge portion and optionally has been backfolded upwardly and is optionally succeeded by the closing flap, which is joined to said backfolded edge portion by a further fold line, the edge portion of the other side wall is reversely folded inwardly and each of the reversely infol-ded edge portions is bonded to the adjacent side wall by means of welds which extend throughout the length of the bag.
