Abstract

ABSTRACT

In an indicator for assisting players of the game of tennis in identifying and locating the various popular ways of holding onto or gripping a tennis racket, it is known to consist of a printed strip which can be affixed to the handle of a tennis racket. In this invention, the indicia printed onto the strip enable the tennis player to visually identify and locate the various popular ways of gripping a tennis racket.

Claims

(1) In the case of an indicator an indicator for assisting players of the game of tennis in identifying and locating the various popular ways of holding onto or gripping a tennis racket comprised of a printed strip which may be affixed to the handle of a tennis racket (2) An indicator as defined in claim 1 in which the means of identifying and locating the various ways of gripping a tennis racket is by way of indicia and/or color gripping printed onto a strip comprised of either one sided d adhesive plastic or cloth or synthetic material with velcro fastners.

(3) In the attached patent drawing which illustrate embodiemente of the invention, Figure 1 is a top plan view of this embodiment, and Figure 2 is a view of this embodiment affixed to the handle of a tennis racket Figure 3 is a view of a tennis player swinging a tennis racket The tennis grip indicator illustrated comprises of a printed strip (-1) which can be affixed to the handle (-2) of a tennis racket (-3), and will assist the user by enabling him or her to visually identify and locate the various popular way of gripping a tennis racket by referring to the indicia (-4) printed thereon.
The indicator is adaptable to both right and left handed tennis players, the only difference being in the application of the invention to the tennis racket handle.
