Abstract

A golf club which has the head 1, or shaft 2, or grip 3 adapted or manufactured to include a transponder. The adapted or manufactured golf club can be identified by using an electronic scanner to provide unique information relating to the club.

Description

ELECTRONIC IDENTIFICATION AND SECURITY PROTECTION FOR GOLF CLUBS This invention relates to the identification and protection of a golf c]ub(s) by the incorporation of an electronic security device in the head and/or grip and/or shaft of the golf club.
Golf clubs are impliments for hitting golf bawls for the game known as Gol.f.
According to present app)ication they may take several forms dependant on the owner/player's skills and their needs to play the game.
A typical club is illustrated on the accompanying drawing Figure 1 and consists of a head 1, a shaft 2, and a grip 3.
The head and shaft may be of wood, meta) or other appropriate materials.
The grip may be of rubber or a substitute synthetic material.
The purpose of the invention stated below is to provide the owner/player with a means of protecting and/or identifying the ownership of the golf clubs.
The specific invention now described is detailed on the accompanying drawing Figure 1 and refers to provision of, or modification to, the head 1 and/or shaft 2 and/or grip 3 of a golf club(s), by incorporation of an electronic indentification device 4.
Such a device 4, is a transponder that gives unique identification data or warning signals when activated by an electronic scanner.

Claims (1)

1. A Golf club(s) which incorporates an electronic security device in the head and/or the shaft and/or the grip which gives unique identification data and/or a warning signal.
