Abstract
ABSTRACT
The invention relates to a component of a multilayer flat material construction, in particular for motor vehicles, whereby a number of preforms (1, 2) of flat material, of which at least one of the preforms (1) which forms an outside face of the component is of sheet metal, are perfectly jointed to one another by at least one type of joint element (3, 4) which has been produced in an extrusion or pressure-joint process.
The invention is characterized in that for at least one of the types of joint-element (3) these each consist of two superposed, opposite edges of a square breach (31) formed by an H-shaped cutting punch which passes through all preforms (1, 2) on flanged edges (32, 33) provided on an external surface of the component, which are formed by the material sections of all preforms (1, 2) resulting from the H-shaped cutting punch.

1. Component of a multilayer flat material construc-tion, in particular for motor vehicles, whereby a num-ber of preforms of flat material, of which at least one of the preforms which forms an outside face of the component is of sheet metal, are perfectly joined to one another by at least one type of joint element which has been produced in an extrusion or pressure-joint process, c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t for at least one of the types of joint-element (3) these each consists of two superposed, opposite edges of a square breach (31) formed by an H-shaped cutting punch which passes through both preforms (1, 2) on flanged edges (32, 33) provided on an external surface of the component, which are formed by the material sections of all preforms (1, 2) resulting from the H-shaped cutting punch.
2. Component of a two-layer flat metal construction according to claim 1 c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t the joint elements of this type are combined with pres-sure joint-elements of a different type, whereby the joint-elements (4) each consists of a short strip (41) of superposed areas of preforms (1, 2) which are ex-truded through the surfaces of the preforms and an-chored at the rear by a common wide compression set (42).
3. Component according to one of claims 1 or 2, c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t at least one of these types of joint-elements (3, 4) is combined with a different type of penetration joint-element, whereby in each case a) all planar superposed preforms (5, 6, 7) have local-ly coincidental penetrations in the shape of round holes (51, 61, 71) in the area of the penetration joint-element (8), b) the hole (51) in a sheet metal external preform (5) is smaller than the holes (61, 71) in other preforms (6, 7) and whereby c) the edges around the smaller hole (51) are pressed out of the plane of the external preform (5) through the holes (61, 71) in the other preforms (6, 7) and form a collar (52) which protrudes from the hole (71) of the other external preform (7) and which is externally flanged.
4. Component according to one of claims 1 or 3, c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t at least one of the preforms (6, 7) connected to a pre-form (3) of sheet metal consists of a different material which cannot be cold-formed.
5. Component according to one of claims 1, 3 or 4, c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t one of the preforms (8, 7) connected to a pre-form (5) of sheet metal consists of a thermally-insu-lating material.
6. Component according to one of claims 1, 3 or 4.
c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t one of the preforms (6, 7) connected to a pre-form (6) of sheet metal consists of a puncture-proof material.
c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t one of the preforms (6, 7) connected to a pre-form (6) of sheet metal consists of a puncture-proof material.
7. Component according to one of claims 1, 3 or 4, c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t one of the preforms (5, 7) connected to a pre-form (5) of sheet metal consists of a vibration-absorb-ing material.
8. Component according to one of claims 1 through 7, c h a r a c t e r i z e d i n t h a t at least two preforms of the component are additionally perfectly joined through gluing together.
