The wheelchair designs are especially characterized visually by a pair of wheelchair frame elements extending on either side (left and right) of the wheelchair frame, each having a substantially L-shaped profile as seen from the side and a non-uniform cross-section, with a substantially rectilinear intermediate section shaped as a hand grip and positioned in front of and below a leading edge of the wheelchair seat (see enlarged views); the pair of wheelchair frame elements may be hydroformed tubular members; the designs of the seat trim and of the rear wheels and front caster wheels as shown are disclaimed.
