Abstract

Abstract A pair of swimming paddles held by the hand to facilitate and increase propelling power and speed when using defferent strokes, and create a new push pull style, the fins flips ho-rizontaly beneath the wrist when arms are thrusted forward, and revert to a vertical position when arms are retracted, ends of a looped bowed stout wire to engage into off-set slots on collars at the upper ends of the fins, which is thumbs adjustable to set and shift the angle or pitch of the fins, e.g. from horizontal to vertical and to an horizontal beneath first to horizontal exten-ding beyond the end of the. hands, fins has curvatures along its edges for strength, and has a rudder effect, and will also cause to flip the fins, upward and downward of curvatures will be adap-table to diferant style of strokes, a cord maybe attached to pad-dles and adjusted to the users neck, leaving hands free for other things, e.g. Life-guards saving drowning victims etc.

Specification This invention relates to a pair of swimming paddles improv-ing upon previously conceaved devices, the swimming paddles that if have knowledge of does not adequatly satisfy the various style of swimming strokes, I make reference to Drummonds U.S. patent 3,407,419 Oct, 29, 1968 C1 9-307 that was cited over three ot-her U.S. and one British patent.
A bycicle type handle grip to which is tightly inserted a gr-ooved wood or plastic shaft, extending approx one inch at each end of the grip, and receiving off-setted slotted collards (collars) which are in the uppermost part of the fins, said slots embraces lopped ends of a bowed stout wire, that runs in a groove longitu-dinily along side of the shaft, the users thumbs push or pull the looped ends of the wire to the wide or the narrower side or the
