Abstract

ABSTRACT
In any puzzle game, the aim is to place in proper order all the pieces which form a design, or the different color components of mechanical games, after having mixed them.
According to the present invention, the pieces are tabs which are also colored, however, they circulate inside channels engraved on each side of a body, and they can only be displaced by means of wheels which partly occupy these channels. The body is closed on both sides by means of a cover which allows the outer part of the wheels to extend therethrough: by rotating the outer part with the tip of the fingers, the tabs can be displaced from one channel to the other. It should be born in mind that the body, the wheels and the covers are made of transparent plastic material which enable to identify the opaque colors of the tabs, and facilitate the study of the game at a glance.

Description

11'7(~fj79 DISCLOSURE
m e present invention relates to a puzzle game for manual playing, aimed at leisures and spare time of a person.
All the existing games do not enable to exercice the degree of difficulty which is desired by each person. The present game which is based on the same system and technique, brings to the puzzle games a rather important number of choices.
Indeed, the pieces are more or less difficult to put back into place depending on the number of channels that the game contains, possibly the age and the attitude of the person. A choice of a number of channels would problably be desirable. MOreover, these puzzle games, among others, add a different note.
In accordance with the invention, there is provided a puzzle game comprising a transparent two face flat body having at least two intersecting circular channels each channel having a plurality of tabs, annular covers which are coaxial with each channel, each cover being provided with pushing mem-bers of equal pitch adapted to push said tabs, means to rotate each cover about its axis and means to maintain the covers on said body.

20With respect to the drawings which illustrate the embodiment of the invention,-Figure 1 is a top view of the upper part of the principal embodiment with five channels, Figure 2 represents a cross-section along line A-A
of Figure 1, Figure 3 represents a top view of the wheels and tabs of said embodiment, Figure 4 represents a top view of an embodiment with four channels, 30 Figure 5 represents a top view of an embodiment with six channels, .~~

l:t'~ '7~

Figure 6 represents a top view of an embodiment with two channels, Figure 7 represents a cross-section taken along line B-B of Figure 6, Figure 8 represents a top view of an embodiment with three channels, Figure 9 represents a cross-section taken along line C-C of Figure 8, - la -~h ...

( ) 6 7 9 Figure 10 represents a top view of the covers of Figure 4, Figure 11 represents a top view of the covers of the main embodiment of Figure 1, and Figure 12 represents a top view of the covers of Figure 5.
The main game which is illustrated comprises a body number 1 Figure 1, of transparent plastic material in order to identify the opaque color of the tabs 2. This body 1 carries on one face a large central circular channel which crosses with four other equidistant smaller channels which are build on the opposite side as shown, the bottom of the channels at the intersections enables the tabs to pass without difficulty, Figure 2, and the surface H of the wheels 3-3c of Figures 2 and 3 coincide with the bottoms of opposite channels, so as to maintain the space between tabs
2 inside the channels.
me wheels 3-3c are of,transparent plastic material, Figures 2 and 3, there are in part adjusted to the diameters of the channels by keeping up with the space between the tabs 2 as mentioned above. Small'pushing members disposed at intervals which are equivalent to the diameters of the tabs 2, extend from the surface H, Figure 3, the pushing members are convex and serve as spacer to push and guide the tabs at the inter-sections. ~h'e portion of the wheels which is outside the ; game has the shape of a vault, it is provided with hooKs so as to make it rotate with the tips of the fingers.
The tabs 2, Figure 3, have the shape of a cylinder, whose diameter is larger than its thickness, in order to help them to slide. In each channel the tabs are of the same color, which is different from one channel to the other.

1.~'7~ 7g It is obvious that at the intersections, the choice must be made. A determination must be made of the channel which must contain all the same color, since the same tab belongs at the same time to two channels which intersect. This is a detail which changes nothing to the game. It is believed that the manufacture should advantageously place the tabs of the same color within the same wheel while mounting the game in order to gain time. Also, to empty the bodies, where there is too much material, while taking into account the necessary spaces to glue the covers.
A cover 4b and 5b, Figure 11, of transparent plastic material will be glued on both sides of the body in order to make a unit of the assembly of pieces. These covers have openings to allow the exterior portion of the wheels 3-3b to extend thereto.
me covers 4a-5a, Figure 10 correspond to the embodiment of Figure 4, as well as the covers 4c-5c , Figure 12, correspond to the embodiment of Figure 5. The covers which are represented can also be used for the other embodiments of games disclosed. m ere is a narrow connection between the games of Figures 1-4-5-6 and 8 showing the similarity which charac-terizes this basic system in its general technique.
All the channels which are opposite the main central channel are identical they contain the same number of tabs 2 and the wheels 3 can be used for all the games of this series.

Claims (6)

The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:-
1. A puzzle game comprising a transparent two face flat body having at least two intersecting circular channels each channel having a plurality of tabs, annular covers which are coaxial with each channel, each cover being provided with pushing members of equal pitch adapted to push said tabs, means to rotate each cover about its axis and means to maintain the covers on said body.
2. A puzzle game according to claim 1, wherein the pitch of said pushing members and the width of said channels is equal to the diameter of said tabs.
3. A puzzle game according to claim 1, wherein the channels are provided on both sides of said body.
4. A puzzle game according to claim 1, wherein the pushing members consist of lenticular projections radially mounted on said covers.
5. A puzzle game according to claim 1, wherein said means to rotate said covers comprises buttons located at the center of each cover.
6. A puzzle game according to claim 1, wherein the tabs are at least of two different colors.
