Abstract
ABSTRACT
It is normal to hitch the rake(s) behind the tractor in different manner. In my invention a swinging hitch that is in front is made to pull a rake preceding the tractor. Two curved arms are needed to pass over the rake, to be secured together with a molded plate, on which the same rake should be hitched. The arms are stable with spacers. Two posts are bolted, one on each side towards the front of the tractor's frame. The right arm has a self alingning bearing pinned to the right post. The left arm has a slot to slide on a pin in the left post; this pin receives an adaptor for a piston, the other end of the piston is secured to the left arm. The hitch may have a swivel wheel secured to the joint of the two arms. In this case the molded plate will be longer and descend behind the swivel wheel and will be fixed by two supports to the arm above.

Description
~PECIFICATION
This invention relates to a ~wingin~ hitch in ~ront o~
the tractor to pull a rake preceding it.
There are different ways to hitch the rake(s) behind the tractor, but the baler cannot be hitched to the ~ame tractor at the same time. So the tractor ha~ to go through the field t~ice, re more 90il compaction and more fuel and time con_ suming. If the 1.rind i~ strong ln ~he interval between raking and baling, there will be wind row disturbances resultin6 in a 1099 to the ~armerO If rain comes be~ore baling ~s fini~hed the windrows left will have to be done a~ain.
These problems can be overcome by a ~winglng hitch in front o~ the tractor to pull a rake leaving the back hitch for the baler, rakin~ and baling will be done at the ~ame time, propulsion coming from the same tractorO The hitch swings relatively to the tractor in order tha~ the rake place the windrow at the proper position ln the corners allowing the baler to make its p~ck up.

The left arm 2 has E, slot to slide on a pin in the left post 6; thi~ pin receives an adaptor 7 for a piston 8 the other end of the piston 8 is secured to the le~t arm 2 permitting the swinging action needed for sterring in the corners of the field~
The hitch may have a swivel sheel 9 secured to the Joint of the two arms 1-2. In this ca~e the molded plate ~ will be longer) descending behind the swivel wheel 9, and will be fixed by two supports 4 to the arms 1-2 ~u~t above~
