Abstract

The design consists of the features of shape, configuration and ornamentation of a cup having a lip portion, a bottom portion and a tapered side wall portion which tapers inwardly from the lip portion to the bottom portion; the side wall portion has an outer surface with four equally spaced-apart generally identical and generally semi-elliptical large indentations extending upwardly part way along the tapered side wall portion from adjacent the bottom portion of the cup; each generally semi-elliptical indentation has a curved surface and beveled side edges that increase along the height of the indentation; four generally identical and generally semi-elliptical small indentations extending upwardly a short distance from adjacent the bottom portion between the adjacent semi-elliptical large indentations; each semi-elliptical small indentation has a smooth curved surface; the tapered side wall portion has an inner surface with four equally spaced-apart generally identical and generally semi-elliptical large protuberances formed from the semi-elliptical large indentations and four generally identical and generally semi-elliptical small protuberances formed from the semi-elliptical small indentations; the large protuberances have curved surfaces and beveled side edges conforming to the curved surfaces and beveled side edges of the large indentations; the small protuberances have smooth curved surfaces conforming to the curved surfaces of the small indentations.In the first variant, the curved surfaces of the large semi-elliptical indentations and large semi-elliptical protuberances are textured.In the second variant, the curved surfaces of the large semi-elliptical indentations and large semi-elliptical protuberances are smooth and are similar in appearance to the remaining surface of the cup.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a first variant of the design of the cup;Fig. 2 is a side view of the cup of Figure 1;Fig. 3 is a top view of the cup of Figure 1;Fig. 4 is a bottom view of the cup of Figure 1;Fig. 5 is a perspective view of a second variant of the design of the cup;Fig. 6 is a side view of the cup of Figure 5;Fig. 7 is a top view of the cup of Figure 5; andFig. 8 is a bottom view of the cup of Figure 5.Diagrams of the design are included.
