The present invention relates to stable compositions high molecular weight copolyetheresteramides capable to resist the destructive action of bad weather and heat.
The French patents N 2.273.021 and 75 31828 describe the preparation of copolyetheresterarnides suitable for manufacturing molded or extruded objects: films, sheaths, fibers, filaments, -mold parts.
These high-weight aliphatic copolyetheresteramides molecular consist of alternating polyamide sequences and polyoxyalkylene glycols linked together by functions esters. They result from the polycondensation of a poly-nylon 6,6-6,6-10,6-9,11 or 12 type linear amide having ends of carboxylic chains and an average molecular weight between 300 and 15000 with a polyoxyalkylene block-glycol at the end of the hydroxyl chain of molecular weight included between 100 and 6000 such as for example: Polyoxyethylene glycol, polyoxypropylene glycol, polyoxytetrarnethylene glycol.
Although these products have good mechanical properties We see that when exposed to the action of oxygen or heat, they gradually degrade by oxidation effects.
Likewise the action of oxygen with heat or daylight causes oxidative degradation phenomena on copolyetheresteramide and at the same time the progressive loss mechanical qualities of the product.
The pr ~ scntc invention allows reln ~ dier ~ these incon-come.
It makes it possible to obtain stable copolyetheresteramides to heat and natural aging, while retaining a -good resistance to traction, tearing, bending repeated and ~ abrasion.

The present invention relates to compositions aliphatic copolyetheresteramide thermoplastics high molecular weight stable to the action of oxygen, heat and light, characterized in that we add 0.05 to 5% by weight of copolyetheresteramide powder 4-4'bis (~ dimethylbenzyl) diphenylamine used in combination naison with 0.01 to 2% copper iodide powder and iodide of potassium in solution in a weight ratio ICu / IK included between 0.1 and 1.9.
The invention therefore consists in incorporating with copolyetheresteramide a stabilizer which is 4-4'bis ~ '-dime-thylbenzyl) diphenylamine and another stabili-sant which is a mixture of copper iodide and iodide of po-tassium.
Stabilizers can be incorporated into the copo-lyetheresteramide by mixing. Mixing takes place in a adding 4-4'bis (~ - ~ '-dimethyl-benzyl) diphenyl-amine to copolyetheresteramide powder obtained in the form of granules or powder. Copper iodide is also incorporated under powder form.
We prefer to introduce potassium iodide in the form of a very concentrated solution close to saturation.
We can also introduce 4-4'bis ~ dimethyl-: ~ benzyl) diphenyl-amine in the polycondensation reactor , at the same time as the starting products. In the proportions necessary for stabilization, 4-4 'bis (~ - ~' -dimethyl ~
benzyl) diphenyl-amine has practically no effect on the speed reaction and we prefer to introduce this stabilizer at the start of the polycondensation operation because it has i 30 the advantage of avoiding the oxidative degradation of the sequences -.
polyamides and polyesters as well as that of copolyetheresteramide during his training. On the other hand, the presence of 4 4'bis '' ~ dimethyl-benzyl) diphenylamine provides a product of a more constant viscosity by limiting the evolution-tion of the polymer chain during the subsequent operations tives to the reaction.
Copper and potassium iodides can also be be introduced at the start or during polymerization, but as they significantly lower the reaction rate, we prefer to introduce them later in the granules of copolyetheresteramide before drying .and operations. .
