Le demandeur a déjà proposé dans son brevet fran-çais No. 1,229,671 en date du 18 octobre 1958 pour "Machine à per-cussion, notamment machine a clouer, agrafer, et similaire" ainsique dans son brevet americain correspondant No. 3,042,008~delivr~}
! bustion presente un volume determine fonctlon de la course dudit piston auxiliaire. :
~ Selon une caractéristique de l'invention le piston ~ ;
.;.~ auxiliaire comporte intérieurement de part et d'autre d'un clapet : :::
. Ces possibilites sont offertes essentiellement par le piStQn auxiliaire qui repond a diverses fonctions principale ~ i,,. ~,, ;
. à.savoir: .
dosage d'un volume de gaz au point mort haut;
- obtention d'un mélange`detonant par admission . . : .
de sa descente repousse le piston principal;
,~ :: . .
percussion est apte à assurer la mise en place d'agrafes. ;
Bien entendu l'application dé~rite dans ce qui va suivre n'est nullement limitative, mais est seulement donnée au titre d'un exemple de réalisation, les essais effectués permettant de conclure a un fonctionnement particulierement fiable. .;

les figures 10 et 11 sont des vues partielles;
Dans la forme d'exécution choisie et représentée à la figure 1, la machine comprend une partie 10 formant poignée de compréhension et, associée à cette derniere, une partie 11 com-prenant nontamment l'organe de percussion et son dispositif d'en-traînement;
8 kgs pour le propane et de 1 à 3 kgs pour le butane. ;

guide d'enfoncement.
Quant à la partie 11, elle comprend un cylindre 25 fermé à ses extrémités par des fonds respectivement 26 et 27;
Entre le piston principal de commande 29 et le fond 27, le cylindre 25 loge un ressort spiralé 32 en appui par ;

- le piston principal de commande 29, et par suite l'organe de percussion 30, sont en position haute, la position ~;
- le piston auxiliaire 36 est en position de fin de course haute où il est retenu par la béquille 40 immobilisant la coupelle 37;
sur le dessus du bossage 26E du cylindre;
et 37G, d'une certaine quantité de carburant dans la chambre de dosage Cl, où il est confiné du fait que le clapet de transfert ; 70 est en position fermée (action du ressort 77);
- le bouton-pres$oir 20 n'est pas sollicité~
. .

: F3 du manchon 60, ce qui a pour effet;
a) d'assurer la fermeture de la soupape 55 par l'intermédiaire du ressort 58;
branche 51A formant becquet prend appui sur la collerette 43A de la douille supérieure 43 ce qui entraine son basculement (flèche FS) ainsi que celui de la béquille 40 suivant la fleche F6;

Figures 10 and 11 are partial views;
Figure 12 shows an embodiment of the piston main command; figure 12 is on the board containing figure 3.
In the form of execution chosen and represented in FIG. 1, the machine comprises a part 10 forming a handle of understanding and, associated with the latter, a part 11 com-taking in particular the percussion member and its device for dragging;
Part 10 is provided in a manner ~ e to accommodate ac-stops such as a gas tank 12 connected by pipeline 1 to a regulator 13; the gas tank is of the refillable type, and the gas used can be, for example, "Butane" or "Pro-" gas.
"the pressure in the tank is around 6 to 8 kgs for propane and 1 to 3 kgs for butane. ;
It should be noted that at the outlet of the regulator the gas pressure is between 0.200 kgs and lkg depending the volume of the combustion chamber.
Part 10 additionally houses an ignition coil 14 linked on the one hand, by conductor 14A to a source of energy ~ consti ~
killed by an accumulator battery 15, and, on the other hand, by conductor 14B to a housing 14C housing a vibrating contactor of a type analogous to that described in US Patent No. 3,193 642 issued July 6, 1965 in the name of the applicant. From the case 14C in conductor 14D leads to an igniter 16, while the con-vibrating tact housed in the housing is slaved to a lever 14E
mounted oscillating in 14F and controlled by a sliding finger 14C
in the cylinder head 28.
Part 10 also houses a push button command indicated in its in ~ emble by the reference 20, and is suitable for forming a magazine 21 for staples 22 leading to a stapling head indicated as a whole at 23 and forming A ~ ~

As for part 11, it includes a cylinder 25 closed at its ends by bottoms 26 and 27 respectively;
internally the cylinder is equipped with a fixed cylinder head 28 and it receives a main control piston 29 with which it is associated; ~
a percussion member 30.
Between the main control piston 29 and the bottom 27, the cylinder 25 houses a spiral spring 32 supported by;
one of its ends on the main piston 29 and by its other end on the bottom 27; the main piston 29 is suscep- -; tible of brutal axial movements back and forth under the impul ~

The actuator which is housed in the upper part of cylinder 25, includes (see figure 2 in par a crew made up of a secondary or auxiliary piston 36 coaxial with the cylinder axis and to which is partly associated upper a cup 37; the auxiliary piston is susceptible coullssement in a bore 38 with seal 38A; ~
formed in the cylinder head 28, while a spring 39 interposed between the aforementioned cut 37 and the bottom 26 tends to repel the latter down. A PA cocking handle, protruding ; te ~ the outside of the cylinder, is associated with the cup 37 and :
therefore, to the auxiliary piston 36 since the latter is linked to the cup; it is mounted to slide freely on the cup thanks to holes made for this purpose. ~ -When the machine is idle but armed, the 1 A ~ - 6 -10804 ~ 1 different organs are found as shown in the figures 1 to 3.
On these ~ igures, the auxiliary piston 36 is in high end position; it is kept in this po-, sition by a crutch 40 in mat ~ riau spring, linked in the lower part to the cylinder head 28.
The above-mentioned stand includes (see in particular in Figures 2 and 3) a stopper formed by a shoulder 40A with ramp 40B able to cooperate with the cup 37; Beyond the abovementioned stop, the stand has an extension 40C. The first extension is initiated on the above-mentioned extension.
said bottom bush 42 which rests by a flange 42A
on the cup 37 passing through a passage 26A household in the bottom of cylinder 26; the lower sleeve 42 receives a second socket, called upper socket 43 with a flange 43A. A first spring 44 is supported by its ends on the aforementioned collars arranged head to tail, while a cond spring 45 is interposed between the collar 43A of the bushing the upper, and the bottom 26 of the cylinder.
The first spring 44 aims to separate the deu ~; x ~
bushings 42-43 from each other, while the second spring 45 has the function of pushing on the two bushings through towards the first spring 44, so that the bush 42 is in support by its flange 42A on a corresponding face of the cover shovel 37, when, as is the case in FIGS. 1 to 3, the piston auxiliary is in high limit switch position.
.
Note that the opening 26A provided in the bottom 26 of the cylinder, and the opening 37A made in the cup 37 -allow the passage of the extension 40C of the fitted stand bushings 42, 43 and springs; the aforementioned openings also have another function which is to form a supply passage air in the cylinder to form the detonating mixture in the combustion chamber.

d) note that in the intermediate position shown, the fuel is transferred in its largest part in space E without outside air call because the joint 37C mont ~ in the upper part ~ upper of the bore 37E formed in ~; .

~: cup 37 as shown in Figure 7.
~ In this figure, the auxiliary piston is in po-. low end position and the space E 'constituted is filled . of a detonating mixture of the fact that ~ during the descent of the pis-. your auxiliary 36, the seal between the latter, and the bottom of i ~ ~ cylinder 37 has been removed and therefore allowed the introduction of air t .. ~ exterior with sweeping effect given the suction caused by the rapid displacement of the auxiliary piston; the introduction of the outside ~ ir is carried out through the passages 26A provided in the bottom of cylinder 26, 37A formed in the cup 37, to the grooves 37G made in the boss 37B of the cup.
We thus obtain in space E 'thus formed a perfectly homogeneous detonating mixture due to the fact that it is consisting on the one hand, with the outside air call, and, on the other ~
part, by the arrangement of the oriented holes 36I, 29B made so much .:
at the anterior end of the auxiliary piston 36, that in the cu-! "'~ vette 29A of the main control piston 29 which thus create significant turbulence.

The lamella 86 is by its other ex-oscillating mounted end in 86s while being subjected in a zone intermediate to the action of a spring 86C ~
The purpose of this slat will appear in what goes ; ~ follow. When (Figure 7) the auxiliary cup-piston assembly is in defin low stroke position, 14G finger is pressed in the cylinder head 28; it causes a lever tilting 14E in so that a spark symbolized by 90 causes the explosion of the explosive mixture.

~ This is when heel 86A of the . .
coverslip 86; in fact the strip only retracts after a certain pressure exerted by the end of the percussion member ; as an order of magnitude this pressure can be 6 to 8kgs per square centimeter, this heel allows obtaining a ~ suitable pressure in the combustion chamber in the case by X .:
example where the mixture is too slow, or in the case where the main piston 29 is not quite heavy. In fact the lamella in question acts like a regulator.
The explosion of the detonating mixture in the combustion has the effect (figure 8) ~,.

~ 080401 c) unlock the main piston 29 by ef-facet of the lamella 86 in response to the return of the auxiliary piston re in the high position. The main piston ~ so brutally pushed-down arrow Fll (Figure 8) entrains the per-impact 30 associated against the spring 32.
When the main piston has reached the end of low stroke (figure 8) the article to push: in this case a clip is pushed in and the main piston 29 goes up by itself arrow F12 (figure 9) fi its initial position under the action of the spring 32.
In Figure 8, the auxiliary piston 36 has been repr ~ -felt during the ascent, while the main piston 29 is in the lower end position.
By releasing the press button 20 the valve SS
(Figure 9) which was previously in the closed position is ame-born in the open position allowing the evacuation of gases (fl8-che F12) outwards via passage 28B, evacuation favored by raising the main piston.
Once an operating cycle has been completed, every tj ~ 20 organs are in the waiting position for a new cycle, fi say in the position shown in figure 1.
We thus obtain an entirely piecemeal tomatic.
It should be noted that in the event that the user would keep the pressure on the push button 20, engagement of auxiliary piston 36 fi sa ; However, the upper end position is not prohibited.
Indeed, assuming that the range 50 is kept tilted by pressing the push button, as well . ~,.
as shown in Figures 9 and 10, the cup 37 comes when even reset by taking support on the stop 40A because that at the end of the rise of the cup of the sockets 42, 43 which were AT

When the fork 50 is released (pressure : deleted on the push button 20) it returns to its original position . tial by tilting along arrow F14 (Figure 10) which has to release the collar 43A from the socket 43 which has its . 10 turns being released also returns to the initial position under spring action 44.
It should be noted that as long as the range 50 has not returned to the initial position, a cycle cannot be:
. triggered, because an action on the push button 20 would be .:
without effect on the range 50 which would remain in the position ; ~ shown in Figure 10.:
-: In addition, if the button is pressed -;. ~
; button would be released before the end of the operating cycle,:
~ the latter would not be disturbed, although the valve `. ~ 20 exhaust is requested in open luxury. Indeed, the ~ volume ~. of the detonating mixture contained in the chamber E ~ and the small space : ~ this provided between the head 55B of the exhaust valve and its sie-. ge 28A are such that firing is carried out the head of `
valve undergoes pressure such that it closes by pushing the ~ operating finger 65, which consequently removes the -- ~ boss 66A of the push button in the rest position. .-As can be seen in Figure 12 the piston ..:,:
main control 29 can be fitted with one or more ~:
~: passages 29E for supplying additional air into the chamber;
combustion; these passages are closed on the side located towards the culas- - - ~
by a flat deformable seal 90 disposed in a circular groove -: area 29F is maintained by a circplis 91.
: ~
The air intake in the combustion chamber is : obtained during the operating phase during which the main control piston 29 passes, under the impulse of the axial displacement of the auxiliary piston 36 from its end position upper limit switch (Figure 5) to its lower limit position (Figure 7) or the space E 'forms the combustion chamber in the-what is included the detonating mixture.
Indeed during the main piston displacement pal 29 the flat seal 90 is deformed by the push of the air between the main control piston and the bottom of the cylinder lindre 27 which is suitable for atmospheric compartment housing the spring 32.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the chosen and represented form of execution which, on the contrary, re receive various modifications without leaving the part of the present invention.
