O aparelho objeto escopo da presente invenção foi desenvolvido com material odontológico sintético, usual em próteses odontológicas, inerte aos tecidos bucais e livre de toxicidade sistêmica. O dispositivo possui comprimento total de 38 a 42mm, preferencialmente 40mm e peso total de aproximadamente 4600g. O aparelho em questão foi projetado, em relação as suas dimensões e peso, de forma a garantir a total segurança do usuário contra aspiração e/ou deglutição do mesmo. A estrutura 5 do dispositivo inclui um elipsóide (1), confeccionado a partir de um molde pré- construído nas dimensões desejadas, em uma das extremidades. O elipsóide possui diâmetro de 13 a 17mm, preferencialmente 15mm, de modo que permita o canolamento da língua do usuário em seu redor. A estrutura elipsóide (1) é preferencialmente uma esfera. A extremidade oposta do mesmo dispositivo 10 inclui um aro (2) de diâmetro de 23 a 27mm, preferencialmente 25mm.
