Description
"SIMULADOR DO REFLEXO FOTOMOTOR"."PHOTOMOTOR REFLEX SIMULATOR".
The present invention "PHOTOMOTOR REFLEX SIMULATOR" aims at a functional eye intended for didactic use in ophthalmology. Thus, contributing to the study and better understanding of the photomotor reflex existing in the human eye.
As is well known to those skilled in the field of ophthalmology, there is currently no functional eye model that simulates all functions of accommodation, pupillary diaphragm alteration, object approach or retraction, eye movement and lens or eye diameter change, that allows the simulation of the photomotor reflex mechanism as well as image formation, the demonstration of refractive eye errors and the training of corrective lens prescription.
In view of the limitations and shortcomings set forth above and for the purpose of overcoming them the present patent "PHOTOMOTOR REFLEX SIMULATOR" which allows the "real time" observation of the effects of photomotor reflection in the human eye, as well as various physiological mechanisms (such as accommodation, pupillary contraction and convergence) on the projected image quality and its location and size on the retina, and allow the simulation of the corrective lens prescription mechanism. Also, it allows "real-time" observation of phenomena such as the "prismatic effect of the lens" and the vertex distance of corrective lenses on retinal imaging. The present invention patent, "PHOTOMOTOR REFLEX SIMULATOR", may be better understood by the following detailed description, in accordance with the attached drawing, where:
FIGURA 1 constitui-se de uma vista em perspectiva explodida do invento.FIGURE 1 is an exploded perspective view of the invention.
According to the illustrated illustration, more particularly figure 1, the present invention patent, "PHOTOMOTOR REFLEX SIMULATOR" is of the type preferably made of plastic, silicone, metal, as shown in the attached figures.
The present invention is characterized in that it has a functional eye supported by a support (3) which attaches to a guide (4) that fits into a rear screen (5), yet said guide (4) communicates with an anterior spherical frame (1), which allows the attachment of an artificial iris (6) communicating with a lens mold (7), said anterior spherical frame (1) connects to a posterior spherical frame (2) which has inside it a photoelectric cell (8) to fit the artificial retina and also a small electric motor (9).
O pequeno motor elétrico (9) é capaz de fechar o diafragma pupilar simulando o mecanismo de foto-reação pupilar. The small electric motor (9) is able to close the pupillary diaphragm simulating the pupillary photoreaction mechanism.
Therefore, variations in shape, size, function, materials and modes of presentation which are apparent or equivalent to the subject matter of this patent should be included in this disclosure. Thus, it is understood that the present invention falls within the rules governing the Patent of Invention, and must fill an important gap in the market, deserving for this reason, and as a consequence, the respective privilege.
