Abstract

DISPOSITIVO DE EXPANSÃO DE STENTS Um dispositivo de expansão de stents (1) sobre o qual um stent (2) pode ser fixado para fins de liberação em uma posição operativa em um corpo humano. O dispositivo compreende uma série de asas alongadas (16), cada uma das quais com um comprimento consistente com o comprimento de um stent a ser expandido utilizando o dispositivo de expansão, em que as asas são dispostas em circunferência em volta de um corpo central (10) que se estende a partir de um cateter (14) e é operável por meio dele. As asas são móveis entre uma posição de liberação movida radialmente e posições expandidas nas quais são deslocadas radialmente para fora do corpo. Um trajeto de fluxo (105) é definido no lado interno das asas nas suas posições expandidas e uma válvula temporária (68) é fornecida nesse trajeto de fluxo permitir o fluxo de sangue através do trajeto de fluxo predominantemente em uma direção. Um balão anular inflável (80) é preferencialmente fornecido sobre as asas para causar expansão final do stent. Os braços posicionadores, (40) são expandidos a partir do corpo para assistir no posicionamento do corpo no interior de uma válvula cardíaca natural (101).
