Abstract

ISOLADOS FÚNGICOS E SEU USO PARA CONFERIR TOLERÂNCIA À SALINIDADE E À SECA EM PLANTAS. A presente invenção refere-se aos métodos e às composições de fungos endofíticos que conferem tolerância ao estresse para as plantas inoculadas, incluindo monocotiledôneas e dicotiledôneas. Em particular, espécies de Fusarium, isoladas da grama de duna, Leymus mollis, crescendo em comunidades de planta em praias de Puget Sound no estado de Washington. Sobre a inoculação de uma planta-alvo ou de uma parte da planta com os fungos endofíticos, as plantas resultantes apresentam tolerância ao estresse, particularmente tolerância à seca e à salinidade.
