Abstract

SISTEMA E PROCESSO PARA DETECçãO DE VAZAMENTO EM UMBILICAIS. A presente invenção se refere a um sistema e processo para detecção do local de vazamento de mangueiras de umbilicais. Este sistema é constituído por um dispositivo interno (PIG) que é inserido na mangueira do cabo umbilical que apresenta o vazamento e de um equipamento externo detector que tem por objetivo identificar a posição do dispositivo PIG já no interior do umbilical. O dispositivo que é inserido no umbilical conhecido como PIG é metálico e o equipamento externo detector constitui-se de duas partes: uma formada por um anel que circunda o umbilical apresentando um sistema sensor e outra parte que possui a eletrónica capaz de identificar a presença do PIG e com isso alterar o sinal de modo a permitir identificá-lo. é apresentado o sistema como um processo para detecção do local exato de vazamento das mangueiras de umbilicais e a técnica testada apresenta fácil operação e a inspeção é realizada com boa velocidade e de forma continua, não originando resíduos.
