CINTA DE ELETRODOS PARA TOMOGRAFIA POR IMPEDÂNCIA ELÉTRICA. Cinta de eletrodos para tomografia por impedância elétrica, compreendendo uma pluralidade de subconjuntos de eletrodo (20, 20') para injeção e captação de sinais elétricos no paciente, cada subconjunto compreendendo três elementos básicos, formados a partir de uma lâmina eletricamente condutora, a saber, uma zona de contato (22, 52) fixada à pele do paciente e acompanhando sua movimentação, eletricamente ligada por meios condutores flexíveis (24, 53) a uma área terminal (27, 54), sendo esta última afixada a uma ilha de contato (12) provida numa tira de suporte (10) flexível e longitudinalmente indeformável, estando associados, a cada ilha de contato, meios de conexão com os cabos que interfaceiam eletricamente a dita cinta com o aparato de monitoração. Os elementos condutores que formam os ditos subconjuntos utilizam como base comum um material isolante, deformável e poroso, podendo este ser um têxtil não tecido ("non-woven fabric") ou uma espuma de borracha ou material sintético poroso. Devido à deformabilidade do material de base, as zonas de contato acompanham a movimentação da pele do paciente reduzindo o seu desconforto, ao mesmo tempo que as áreas terminais permanecem em posições fixas e conhecidas coincidentes com as ditas ilhas de contato, propiciando a reconstituição precisa da imagem tomográfica. A porosidade do material de base apresenta a vantagem adicional de permitir a respiração da pele do paciente, evitando sua oclusão e o acúmulo de suor.ELECTRODE STRAP FOR ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE TOMOGRAPHY. Electrode belt for electrical impedance tomography, comprising a plurality of electrode sub-assemblies (20, 20') for injecting and capturing electrical signals in the patient, each sub-assembly comprising three basic elements, formed from an electrically conductive sheet, namely , a contact zone (22, 52) fixed to the patient's skin and accompanying its movement, electrically connected by flexible conductive means (24, 53) to a terminal area (27, 54), the latter being affixed to a contact island (12) provided on a flexible and longitudinally indeformable support strip (10), with each contact island being associated with means of connection with the cables that electrically interface said belt with the monitoring apparatus. The conductive elements that form said subassemblies use as a common base an insulating, deformable and porous material, which can be a non-woven fabric or a foam rubber or porous synthetic material. Due to the deformability of the base material, the contact zones accompany the movement of the patient's skin, reducing their discomfort, while the terminal areas remain in fixed and known positions coinciding with said contact islands, providing a precise reconstitution of the tomographic image. The porosity of the base material has the additional advantage of allowing the patient's skin to breathe, preventing its occlusion and the accumulation of sweat.
