Abstract

DETEBMINAçãO DE COBERTURA E COMUTAçãO ENTRE SISTEMAS DE COMUNICAçãO COM SOBREPOSIçãO. Para determinação de cobertura e comutação de sistema, um terminal obtém estimativas de intensidade de pilotos para estações base em um primeiro e um segundo sistemas de comunicação sem fio (por exemplo, um sistema de dados em pacote e um sistema de voz / dados) e estimativas da qualidade de sinal recebido para pelo menos uma estação base servidora no primeiro sistema. O terminal deriva várias métricas com base nas estimativas da qualidade de sinal recebido e estimativas de intensidade de piloto. O terminal pode realizar handoff para o segundo sistema caso seja detectada uma cobertura fraca para o primeiro sistema, caso uma métrica de qualidade de sinal recebido (Q) para o primeiro sistema esteja abaixo de um limite V~ th_dn~ e caso uma métrica da intensidade de piloto.
