Abstract

MéTODO, PRODUTO DE PROGRAMA DE COMPUTADOR E DISPOSITIVO ELETRÈNICO PARA CONFIGURAR OS PARáMETROS OPERACIONAIS PARA UM TERMINAL CONFIGURáVEL PARA OPERAR EM UMA PLURALIDADE DE REGIõES. Sistema e método para usar a tecnologia de rádio licenciada para determinar os parâmetros operacionais que deveriam ser usados pelo terminal. A presente invenção envolve o terminal usando o seu sistema GSM, se ativado, para determinar se o código do país móvel para o terminal celular próximo está localizado dentro dos Estados Unidos ou Canadá. Se o código designa os Estados Unidos ou o Canadá, então o terminal usa os domínios US e os canais de transmissão correspondentes e os níveis de energia. Se o código não designa os Estados Unidos ou o Canadá, então o domínio ETSI é usado, juntamente com os canais de transmissão apropriados e os níveis de energia.
