Abstract

MéTODOS E SISTEMAS PARA CONVERSãO DE BIOMASSA EM áCIDOS CARBOXìLICOS E áLCOOIS. A divulgação inclui um método, processo e aparelho para a conversão de biomassa em ácidos carboxílicos e/ou álcoois primários. O sistema pode incluir um subsistema de pré-tratamento/fermentação operável para produzir um caldo de fermentação contendo sais de ácido carboxílico a partir da biomassa, tal como uma biomassa lignocelulósica. O sistema pode também incluir um subsistema de desidratação capaz de remover o excesso de água do caldo de fermentação para produzir um produto concentrado.
