Abstract

MéTODO CROMATOGRáFICO PARA A ANáLISE TANTO NO PROCESO QUANTO NO SEVOFLURANO ACABADO. Um método em que a substância orgânica encontrada em um sevoflurano bruto pode ser separada, identificada e quantificada com o uso de uma coluna cromatográfica gasosa capilar de CARBOWAX<3> (polietileno glicol) ou uma coluna cromatográfica gasosa capilar de polissiloxano alquílico. é igualmente fornecido um método de controle do processo para a produção de sevoflurano, em que o conteúdo de um componente particular em uma das seguintes etapas seja determinado, e em que, admitindo-se este como uma variável, a condição de tratamento da etapa seja ajustada: 1) uma etapa de extração, ou resfriamento, para formar duas camadas, e/ou de destilação de uma mistura de sevoflurano bruto e fluoreto de hidrogênio (HF) de modo a isolar a maior parte do sevoflurano e 2) uma etapa opcional de purificar o sevoflurano bruto e 3) uma etapa de destilar sevoflurano bruto. é igualmente fornecido um método para determinar o nível de impurezas de um sevoflurano purificado, que seja aceitável para uso em anestesia humana/animal.
