Um comutador para um motor elétrico compreende um anel de suporte (11), um número de segmentos de metal (12) arranjados em torno da circunferência do anel de suporte, e uma pluralidade de capacitores (20) arranjados entre o anel de suporte (11) e os segmentos de metal (12).
