Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA PROCESSAR PACOTES NULOS EM UM RECEPTOR DE MìDIA DIGITAL". São descritos um método e aparelho (299) para detectar confiavelmente posições de bytes de sincronismo de pacotes MPEG-2 recebidos por um sistema de transmissão digital, no caso de um fluxo de pacotes contendo uma pluralidade de pacotes nulos, ou uma pluralidade de pacotes contendo um padrão de bits repetitivo fixo, e para sincronizar e entregar confiavelmente o fluxo MPEG-2 difundido na camada de transporte do receptor. Um Detector de Pacotes Nulos (250) compara o conteúdo do pacote atual com um padrão de bits fixo (ou predeterminado) para detectar um pacote nulo para identificar confiavelmente o local do byte de sincronismo do pacote nulo. Uma posição do byte de sincronismo é identificada com base na posição do padrão de bits fixo predeterminado na parte do cabeçalho de uma pluralidade de pacotes nulos no fluxo.
