Abstract

"BROCA, SISTEMA DE PERFURAçãO E MéTODO PARA PERFURAR UM FURO DE SONDAGEM EM UMA FORMAçãO GEOLóGICA". Uma broca de perfuração para perfurar um furo de sondagem em uma formação geológica, a broca de perfuração tendo um eixo longitudinal central e sendo operável pela aplicação de pelo menos um movimento rotativo ao redor do eixo longitudinal central e, opcionalmente, aplica movimentação alternante longitudinal à broca de perfuração de modo a exercer uma força percussiva sobre o fundo do furo de sondagem, a broca de perfuração compreendendo uma superfície provida de uma pluralidade de cortadores cisalhantes (9) tendo uma superfície de raspagem arranjada para induzir uma movimentação de raspagem ao longo do fundo do furo de sondagem pela aplicação do movimento rotativo, a superfície de raspagem, durante operação, voltada na direção de rotação a um ângulo de retro-raspagem menor do que 90<198>, onde o ângulo de retro-raspagem é definido como o ângulo interno entre a projeção de uma linha perpendicular à mencionada superfície de raspagem sobre um plano definido pelo eixo longitudinal central e a direção da componente de velocidade tangencial do cortador cisalhante e um plano perpendicular ao mencionado eixo longitudinal, por meio do que um ou mais dos cortadores cisalhantes é provido de uma superfície de impacto plana pré-cortada (19) essencialmente paralela ao plano perpendicular ao eixo longitudinal.
