"FORMULAçõES APERFEIçOADAS PARA LIBERAçãO TRANSMUCOSAL VAGINAL DE BISFOSFONATOS". Descrevem-se: dispositivos, métodos, e uma formulação aperfeiçoada para liberação transmucosal vaginal de bisfosfonatos; a liberação, em um local alvo, de bisfosfonatos para a circulação sistêmica usando um dispositivo vaginal incluindo uma formulação de bisfosfonato aperfeiçoada para liberação transmucosal; um método para tratamento de osteoporose e doenças relacionadas aos ossos e esqueleto, para prevenção de fraturas dos ossos e perda de força e de massa óssea através da administração intravaginal de bisfosfonatos para a vagina e liberação transmucosal de bisfosfonatos para a circulação geral.
