Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA SINTETIZAR UMA PENEIRA MOLECULAR". Foi desenvolvido um processo para sintetizar uma variedade de peneiras moleculares. O processo envolve pegar uma pasta fluida de cristais semente e adicionar nela nutrientes (fontes) dos elementos estruturais, p. ex., alumínio e silício, a fim de cultivar os cristais semente. A taxa de adição dos nutrientes é controlada de modo que seja substancialmente a mesma que a taxa de crescimento dos cristais e de modo que não haja substancialmente nucleação dos novos cristais. Os cristais semente podem ser iguais ou diferentes dos nutrientes sendo adicionados, assim permitindo uma peneira molecular encamada. Quando os cristais tiverem alcançado um tamanho desejado, eles são isolados por técnicas convencionais.
