Abstract

"SISTEMA E MéTODO DE MEDIçãO DE AUDIêNCIA TELEVISIVA". A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema e um método de medição de audiência televisiva em tempo real por análise do conteúdo transmitido pelas emissoras de televisão. O sistema ora proposto compreende um meio de detecção de mudança de estado de sintonia (2) de um televisor (1), um meio de geração de assinaturas (3) que gera assinaturas contendo informações sobre o conteúdo emitido pelo televisor obtidas a partir da detecção de mudança no estado de sintonia do televisor (1), um dispositivo de gerenciamento (30), um meio de envio de assinaturas (4) e uma central de audiência, sendo que o meio de envio de assinaturas (4) envia as assinaturas geradas pelo meio de geração de assinaturas (3) para a central de audiência toda vez que o dito meio de detecção (2) detecta uma mudança no estado de sintonia do televisor (1). Esse sistema é estruturalmente simples e permite a medição de audiência televisiva em tempo real de forma rápida e a um custo relativamente baixo. O método da invenção compreende as etapas de (a) detecção de mudança de estado de sintonia de um televisor, (b) geração de assinaturas contendo informações sobre o estado de sintonia do televisor obtidas a partir da detecção de mudança no estado de sintonia do televisor, (c) gerenciamento e envio das assinaturas para uma central de audiência, (d) comparação das informações contidas nas assinaturas enviadas para a central de audiência com as informações gravadas na central de audiência referentes às emissoras veiculadas e (e) identificação da emissora que estava sendo assistida no momento da geração das assinaturas. A repetição contínua das etapas (a) a (e) toda vez em que é detectada uma mudança no estado de sintonia do televisor (1), permite uma monitoração em tempo real das audiências medidas para cada uma das emissoras veiculadas à central de audiência.
